This exclusive trip is for tourists who want to explore the mountainous areas to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Mai Chau and Son La, learn about daily life of ethnic people and know about Dien Bien Phu, one of the best known historical relics built in Vietnam War.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Hoa Binh – Mai Chau (-/L/D)       

In the morning, ODC Travel’ tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel around 7:30 – 8:00 and transfer to the Muong’s region of Hoa Binh (74km). Visit Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant and then on to Mai Chau.
Arrival in Mai Chau, trek through Lac and Pom Coong villages and explore customs, culture of ethnic Thai people. In the evening, enjoy the folk show.
Overnight home-stay at Thai family in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Son La (B/L/D)       

Commence the day with the peace of Mai Chau, visit Pa Hang and H’Mong village and gain insight into a different way of life.
After lunch, drive from Mai Chau to Son La, through Yen Chau and Moc Chau famous for orchards of mango, banana, longan as well as tea plantations. Free time at your leisure.
Overnight at hotel in Son La.

Day 3: Son La – Dien Bien (B/L/D)       

After breakfast, visit Son La Provincial Museum. Explore the subterraneous tiny cells with food serving hatches and leg irons. Then visit the principal museum to experience the historical and cultural traditional of 12 ethnic groups living in Son La and then drive to Dien Bien Phu.
Overnight at hotel in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 4: Dien Bien – Hanoi (B/L/-)       

In the morning, visit the Command bunker of De Castries. Explore the dense systems of defense lines including many layers of barbed wires and four tanks, then visit Hill A1, which was the strongest post of all the 49 strongholds in Dien Bien Phu. Visit the Museum of Dien Bien Victory.
Free at your leisure until transferring to airport for a short flight to Hanoi at 15:30.
