Day 1 Phnom Penh Arrival

Transfer from Phnom Penh International Airport to the hotel.Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit the Victory Monument, and the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures – from throughout the ages. Visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. (more…)

Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to the hotel (rooms may not be ready until the afternoon). In the morning, transfer to the archaeological site. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara). Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to the hotel (rooms may not ready until the afternoon).In the morning, visit Prasat Kravan with its unique brick sculptures and Ta Prohm.  One of the areas most beautiful temples, Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the ways most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them. AM: The guide picks you up at your hotel and visit president Ho Chi Minhs Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda - one of the few structures remaining from old Thang Long. Then visit Temple of Literature -Vietnams first university.

PM: After lunch, visit Museum of Ethnology is designed to enhance visitors understanding of Vietnams 54 ethnic group and diverse cultures, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Tour finished.

AM: Pick you up at your hotel and depart for Perfume Pagoda. Arrive and walk to Yen wharf. Take a boat to visit Trinh Temple. Then trek up Huong Tich cave on the top of mountain (2.5 km).

PM: After lunch, visit Thien Tru pagoda and then back to Yen wharf. Then road trip back to Hanoi. Tour finished.

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Ninh Binh (-, L, D) Depart for Halong Bay with short break in Hai Duong City (15 minutes). Arrive in Halong. Embark a wooden boat for a cruise in Halong Bay (4 hours), visit Thien Cung and Dau Go caves. After lunch on boat, continue on to boat trip enjoying scenery: take photos, swimming….Back to harbor. Transfer to Ninh Binh. O/N in Ninh Binh.

Day 2: Ninh Binh – Quang Binh (B, L, D) After lunch at your hotel. Visit Capital Hoa Lu. Visit the Dinh & Le dynasty temples, an ancient capital of Vietnam (968 - 1009). Then hightlight of the trip is a sampan ride to Tam Coc, known as Vietnam “indanld Halong Bay”. Continue the trip to Quang Binh (400km). O/N in Quang Binh. (more…)
